Things you need to know in GTA V RolePlay

What is GTA V RP?

GTA V RP is basically playing the game online just like in GTA V but GTA V Roleplay is a MODE by FiveM where we can choose our own character which you love to play or want to be in your real life but you can’t like a criminal character or other characters which you choose for fun purpose. In GTA V RP you will have to interact with different people across the region who are playing with you at the same time when you are online on that server.  

RP is basically doing a Roleplay that you used to do in your school or college plays/ skit/ drama.  

Civilian and whitelisted Jobs

In RP you have to choose a character who is doing a particular thing like if you are a civilian, your main focus should be on earning money for you and for your family just like your father who works hard for the benefit of his family.  

Like mechanic, EMS, Police these are whitelisted Jobs so in these jobs you should have to do your particular jobs.  

These jobs are like Government jobs so if you got involved in some kind of criminal activities then your job will be lost.   

So, it’s so much fun to see how people do their Roleplay as when your car breakdown you have to visit the mechanic workshop where you will find a character who is doing mechanic’s roleplay and it will be fun to interact with him as he will be asked what’s the problem. In case of a crime, you can file a complaint against the person or report a crime in a Police Station in which you are the victim of an eye-witness and some of the servers have proper courtroom. So in the end it’s too much fun depending on the servers you choose to play.

Types of characters in GTA V RP Servers?

So, now the question arises that how many Characters you can choose in GTA V RP. Well most of the time it depends on server to server but the most common characters that you will find in many servers are: 

1. Citizens 

2. Criminal Character 

3. Police Officers 

4. Doctors / EMS 

5. Mechanics 

Some of the rare characters or the other Characters that you will find in many servers or whitelisted servers are:

1. Lawyers 

2. Judges 

3. Bankers or Investors 

4. PDM Dealers ( Owners or Salesman of Motor vehicles ) 

5. Dealers of Black Market ( Useful for Criminals ) 

6. Real Estate Agents 

7. Businessman 

Rules in RP With Explanation 

Some basic rules in RP should be followed by everyone which are:

RDM – Random DeathMatch

Randomly killing any person without any proper or quality RP is called RDM.  

VDM – Vehicle Deathmatch 

Killing any person with a vehicle means you are using your vehicle as a weapon. Now you will say what’s wrong in that the reason is that if everyone will just ramming each other then that will just create chaos in the city which will disturb the RP of others. And there are always weapons available in the city you can use them to kill others but if you have a proper and good reason.  

Fear RP  

Fear RP is not having fear of your life when it’s in danger. If someone points a gun on you as you can’t do anything stupid or he will kill you on the spot.   

Power Gaming  

its self says that using power to gain an advantage to win the situation. it is also using game mechanics to your advantage.  

Like cuffing any person from behind and not saying anything to him and with different characters you can do different power gaming.  

Fail RP  

Fail RP is doing anything which is not acceptable in real life and still, you are doing it. Which includes exploiting game mechanics.   

Like talking when you bleed out  

Talking on the radio while you cuff  

Jumping from a cliff with vehicles as in real life your vehicle will not survive that and you will be killed when landed.  

Meta-Gaming 

Meta Gaming is using information from other sources and not from in-game. Using information from OOC is also meta.  

Other sources are 3rd party which includes a stream of streamers or from YouTube, discord by friends.  

If you want information ask in-game from the person as it would enhance your RP and do not use these unfair means.  

New Life Rule (NLR)

This is also a very important rule as many people don’t follow this. In this rule, when you die and take respawn you don’t remember anything that happened to you and can’t go to that same spot before 30 min to 1 hr. There are more things that I will explain in Hospital RP.

Hospital RP Rules. 

Hospital is majorly known as Pillbox in GTA V Roleplay. So, the main RP revolves around the Pillbox, and many players do not take this RP seriously as when they got admitted to Hospital and after the treatment, they start running which is also considered as fail RP, you should play or act injured for a while being as you are just treated in hospital, give some time to yourself to recover from that injury. Min- 15 min (depends from server to server).  

Some players doing Gang RP majorly do these mistakes of joining back the situation, the moment they are treated from Pillbox. So, don’t join the situation as in gang war the bullets are fired on you. So, at least take 30 min to rest and don’t join that war again or any fight the moment you are treated.  

If you have been hit on the head and EMS (Emergency Medical Services) mainly ambulance comes and picks you up then in that case though there is no NLR but you can’t remember who hit you. You just only know fade memories and on that basis, you can file FIR or investigate yourself.  

So these rules depend on the server to server on which you are playing. Either ask or read rules or observe in-game that how the other players react in these situations.   

Why to follow rules in GTA V RolePlay and who set these rules?

I know you all will be thinking that why should we follow RP rules or what’s the use of these RP rules. So, RP rules are been set by the owners of the server, and believe me they have been played in many servers and have gone through many problems which took place in these RP servers, so they set these rules with their team who have been thinking about the guidelines that should be followed in every aspect.  

Now the question is why should we follow.  

We should follow these rules so that there should be no disadvantage to other players who are playing with you and everyone should get a fair chance to play and to minimize the conflicts between both the parties/players. And Roleplay of others is not disturbed and they can do their Rp seriously.  

Can we play GTA RP on consoles Like Xbox and PS4 or PS3?  

You can neither play on ps nor Xbox at this point because there are many emotes used in GTA V Roleplay Servers and many actions of gameplay are to be written with keyboards. 

Like if you have to do any act which is not available in-game mechanics like tying up his hands or taking something.  

Basically doing any actions in the game which is not available. Further, you will understand when you start playing so don’t bother much about this point.

How to write a back story in GTA v RolePlay? 

The backstory is basically dependent on the life story of your character where you have to stick to your characteristics and to your role which you like to play.  

Like if you are a Mechanic you should think and act like that only. The same things which you have done or seen in your school plays.  

The backstory is a very important thing as it tells mostly everything about the character that how he thinks, works, and acts in various aspects of daily situations.  

Backstory should include the characteristics of his character or player.  

What are his weakness or strengths?  

How he reacts in various situations with scenarios which you should also mention in your backstory.  

Starting of the life.  

How his interests go in that kind of Roleplay.  

And why he is joining or coming to this city.  

So, Backstory is your player’s story. And now the writer is you and there is limitless creativity. 

Things you should keep in mind

Don’ts  

Don’t write that you are fearless or you don’t feel pain as this would be considered as Power Gaming according to the story.  

Half story with no logic of story.

Do’s  

Write how you started   

Character’s traits.  

Full story from present to current.  

Why you are joining or coming to this city  

Goals/ambition   

The story should be connected from beginning to end.  

Please also read your backstory when you finished your full story and after reading, think if this is a teaser of the movie will you watch that movie.  

You can use movies or books to add some space or gaps which were not letting your story connected and the rest of all things are based on your imagination.   

What kind of character we can use or we can’t use in GTA V RolePlay? 

Don’t use unlogical characters which leads to sensitive matters like perverts or rapists or racists.  

I know you are sensible enough but if it comes to your mind seriously don’t do these things here please let it be the safer and kind place that we all wish to live in.
